    Mordadgan ceremony

    Mordadgan festival is held every year on the seventh day of Mordad to honor the character and action of one of the six virtues of wisdom and knowledge that rule over the entire existence. In ancient times and the Sassanid era and after that, ceremonies and customs were performed in the plains and open spaces. In the past, Persian ancestors used to go to the gardens and plains of Khorram and Delanshin on this day, and after praying to Ahura Mazda, they celebrated this festival with joy.
